I guess this will happen when someone tries to create a sum of all the values in a database field, but one of those values happens to be an alphabetical entry, right? If so, is there any way to simply ignore the non-numeric values instead of just bailing? >I guess it should display something, but I was trying to get sneaky >in those cases where people divide by zero (or something else >equally bad): I thought it would be better to display nothing at >all, so your web pages wouldn't fill up with weird stuff your >visitors don't want to read. I think you're right about not displaying a bunch of junk. As long as we know the default behavior of WebCat2 in this situation, we can actually look for math syntax pronlems as soon as we realize there's no error message but there's an obvious math error. Are there any other situations you can think of where might errors occur but there would be no error messages displayed?Sincerely, Ken Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
