JS (Javascript/JQuery) is often considered by experts to be only an = *addition*... (and should never be basic/mandatory). In the case of = form validation, that point is especially obvious, because a user could = just turn off JS to get around JS-based form validation. So why bother = with JS form-validation at all? Many don't. Not me either when I am = lazy or in a hurry (but I would never neglect server-side form = validation). But JS (client-side) form validation reduces server burden = (and saves the user time)... i.e. why wait for a full round trip, to = server and back, just find out (in the 99% of the cases where JS is not = turned off) that the user forgot to input his email address?
