Creating main- and sub-category search

texte = The following question came into tech support. Since it's a good subject, I'd like to discuss it here. ------------------------------ 2.) This is making me pull my hair out! I want to create a main category list and then a sub category list to click on that would then take you to a Results page. In the database template I would like a [category] and a [sub-category] tag. I read all through the manual and tried several different coding things on the Search page but I can't seem to figure it out.
