texte = Ok, here I go again, I had just typed a long reply with explainations of what and why we have these set to on our servers... of course I had not saved it, and Eudora crashed with a type 1 error. So here is a short version and I will try once more tomorrow to explain the why's. >>Is the server running with MyopicPlugInMode on or off? > >Myopic is on, we used to be running Tango, which had required it.Unless you must have MyOpic on now, turn it off. I believe you will also have to set PathCleanup to T in the WebCat prefs file - if it is not already. If you do not need it, it does nothing for you but add more processor overhead to each request. >>What is the setting on MaxRequestsPerChild? > >300, which I believe to be the default. The MaxRequests is the one that I bet will actaully have an effect on your problem. Lower it to 30. I will explain later - just try it. >>And What is the setting on PITCPOpenTimeout? > >10, also the default. If you are getting [too many tags] errors, or pages that sometimes get served without all the WEbDNA being processed, try bumping it up - ours is set at 45. Unless you are getting these types of errors, don't worry about changing the PITCP setting.Let me know if those make any difference.
