texte = We've had clients inquire about various products, particularly regarding those promoted by Microsoft's superior marketing. Typically, we tell them that we routinely research software (though we haven't seen it all yet) and we use the software that we do because it provides the power, flexibility, reliability, and economics that our current clients require. In most situations, prospective clients defer to our experience (even MIS pros) and accept our word that we can achieve their goals with our current software.Prospective clients who chose NOT to respect your professional opinions and experience should be told frankly that you can and will do it any way they want it done BUT doing it any way other than you have recommended WILL result in significantly higher costs due to the additional time to learn how to use the new software, etc. Personally, I wouldn't want a client who values their opinions over yours on issues that you are familiar with and they are not. The disagreements won't end with the selection of software.....While I have no experience with the product that you mentioned, my experience with IIS and Microsoft have been negative and extremely time consuming. After months of hassling with IIS on our NT, I finally bit bullet and bought O'Reilly's WebSite Pro and have been trying to eliminate the use of Microsoft products wherever possible. I'm definitely biased from my experiences.Run. Run like the wind. Distance yourself from the Microsoft hype. But now I babble.
