As far as I can tell there is no immediately known well documented fix for this. Some people posted with some tips but there is no DEFINITIVE post from Smith Micro on how to take care of this problem.I have made three phone calls and sent two emails to SMSI and still haven't gotten answer. There is a problem that needs to be addressed. The creator of a software application must provide information on how to make the damn app run! I find this situation to be almost unforgiveable and if it weren't for the fact that we're already well entrenched with WebCat I would drop it like a hot tater. This whole issue revolves around the permissions and how to get the directories properly setup with the UNIX operating system. As far as I can tell it has nothing to do with iTools (thought Tenon is to be complemented on their support) but has everything to do with the way the OS handles access to reads, writes and executalbes and who owns the folders. If SMSI expects the purchasers of their products to be able to use them then they sure as hell ought to be helping us out in getting the apps to run. A LITTLE DOCUMENTATION WOULD BE NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Considering how much I just plunked down for two new copies of WebCat I expect better support and BETTER DOCS!-- Sincerely, Patrick O'Brien Systems Adminstrator and Web Manager Sandusky Register http://www.sanduskyregister.com Top Interactive http://www.topinteractive.com 419-625-5500 ext. 333On Wednesday, July 11, 2001 4:14 PM, Alain Russell wrote: >We did this install on one of our boxes yesterday - what are the problems >you are having ?? > >Alain > >> I'm sure it can be done, but has anyone been able to document how to get >> WebCat 4.0.1 running under iTools 6, on a box running 10.0.4? >> >> I'm at my witts end, and I'm sure it's a simple step I'm missing. >> >> -Doug > > >------------------------------------------------------------- >This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to > the mailing list . >To unsubscribe, E-mail to: >To switch to the DIGEST mode, E-mail to >Web Archive of this list is at: http://search.smithmicro.com/ >------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
