In Webstar admin or admin for whatever server you are using recheck the mapping of .tpl Make sure the entry for the .tpl extension does not contain a space after the text .tpl This sometimes happens. Double check the mapping of the extension to the correct action. I set up a server once and swore it said Webcat Plugin. After checking it the fifth time, I realized it said webcat and the last part was clipped off from viewing. I reselected the plugin, saved the changes and all was well. You could also change it to the acgi, save the change, change it back and save that change.Hope this helps,Paul _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_ _\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ _/_/_/_/_/ Paul Uttermohlen, Internet Consultant \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/614-323-5146 _\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/__\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list . They can't prevent you from knowing that. Also, the latest version of the html docs is located at:http://betadoc.smithmicro.comThis is the version where they try to put any corrections into. But you need to know what version you are working with in order to make sure you are following the proper docs.Dalep.s. once you get the html docs look at the searching section. there is a table describing what you want to know.On Fri, 02 Nov 2001 15:47:51 Auto Krafters wrote: > Hi all, > > I have recently taken over an e-commerce site that uses > WebCatalog, which > I'd never heard of before now. > > I'm having a problem with finding the necessary information > to make heads or > tails of some of the searching and display contexts and am > hoping someone > might be able to point me in the right direction. > > Although I maintain the site on site at the company it > represents, the > Webcatalog belongs to the Hosting company, who handles just > the shopping > cart portion. I recommend playing with some simple syntax items - like version and date, to get a feel for how WebCatalog works, then move up to more complicated items like search, append, replace and shopping cart management. Are you now responsible for managing the code on the e-commerce portion of the site? It is NOT common practice for a hosting company to allow clients to perform WebCatalog coding for sites on a server shared by other clients, because WebCatalog contains the power to destroy the other kids - accidentally or intentionally. Generally, because WebCatalog has no controls to prevent code from accessing and modifying anything and everything on the server, a hosting company will keep sole responsibility for WebCatalog code in house, and not allow clients to modify this code.- BrianAt 3:47 PM 11/2/2001, Auto Krafters wrote: >Hi all, > >I have recently taken over an e-commerce site that uses WebCatalog, which >I'd never heard of before now. > >I'm having a problem with finding the necessary information to make heads or >tails of some of the searching and display contexts and am hoping someone >might be able to point me in the right direction. > >Although I maintain the site on site at the company it represents, the >Webcatalog belongs to the Hosting company, who handles just the shopping >cart portion. MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii ; format=flowedCheryl -Welcome to the wonderful world of WebCatalog - a place where you gotta know your way around before you can find your way around...The best source of reference documentation is online at:http://betadoc.smithmicro.com/For the specific items you're looking at, click on the Searching link in the top-left frame. There's a lot to learn, and the search context is the most complicated place to begin, though the most important item to learn. I recommend playing with some simple syntax items - like version and date, to get a feel for how WebCatalog works, then move up to more complicated items like search, append, replace and shopping cart management. From ???@???
