texte = Tim, I have just written a 4 step 'Import file Wizard' for one of my clients, they upload a text file in the first step .. Click continue to 'preview' the file being imported .. What happens on this page is the text is displayed in a table in the exact way the file will be imported. It is a nested table with red background color in the back table. If any fields are wrong or missing a red box 'table cell' will appear and not allow them to proceed. If there are no red boxes they click continue and the import is done, instead of removing and flushing databases the import deletes and then appends to the db .. Granted they are only updated a few hundred records at a time - but it works great. And the client loves it .. Add a paper clip and I could even be the next Bill Gates I reckon :-)It uses a bunch of listwords to break the text up .. Oh, and you can upload a comma delimited file if you call the database name.merge .. Read about this in the database format page in the docs. http://betadoc.smithmicro.com/DatabaseFormat.htmlHTH Alain> Hi there, > > I've set up a facility for clients to upload their own databases...
