texte = Hey all, I recently inherited an older IBM PC. Currently it runs Windows XP and has a 1.6 GHz Pentium 4, 512 MB of RAM and and 80 GB hard drive -- ancient, I know. I was thinking of putting the PC to work as a local staging server for my WebDNA sites. (My production server is a 1.42 GHz PowerPC G4 Mac mini colocated at macminicolo.net). What WebDNA-compatible operating system do you recommend I install on this PC to configure as a local staging server? I know that WebDNA is not compatible with the latest version of Apache, but is there an OS limitation as well? I'd prefer something low-maintenance (like my Mac OS X servers) but since I can't run Mac OS X on this box I still wanted to do something with it. Any advice? What works best "out-of-the-box" for you? Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
