texte = Hey All,We are happy to announce the Windows CICADA (6.1.b04)build for your testing pleasure!:dev.webdna.usPlease post feedback here if possible:http://forum.webdna.us/eucabb.html?page=detail&threadid=571&category=288This marks the final goal for major Beta builds, towardsthe larger goal of the final CICADA release candidates, which will include a new GUI, PDF documentation and anylast minute fixes that are needed."Yes", we will come back to other build aspects, such as 64bitversions for Mac and Windows, as well as a CICADA buildfor Solaris perhaps, and others. However, business dictates thatwe must move on to the marketing aspects as soonas we can. Also, just a report to say there has been about 250**Unique IP** Downloads of the other beta builds sincethe starting of the releases around the beginning ofthis new year. I want to say "thanks" and requestagain that if anyone has the time to offer feedback, please do so (forum.webdna.us > bug reporting)Lastly, I was curious today why there has not hardlyany 6.1b04 WebDNA Speed Test reports, and I realized why.I had thought I had fixed a bug where submittedreports where being overwritten by other submissionsusing the same host name (ie. "localhost").. but today,I found I had made a syntax error in that fix! :-(So, I apologize to those that have taken the timeto run and report your server performance and specs, only to find that it was ultimately overwritten! This problem should be fixed as of now.If you'd like to run it again, you can find/downloadthe file here:http://www.euca.us/index.html?page=dev(click on "WebDNA Server Speed Test")For those that don't know what the WebDNA Server Speedtest is, it is an old WebDNA-community-made file thattests aspects of your WebDNA Server's performance. Itthen allows you to post the results to a central serverwhere you can view how your results compare to others. The aspects of this test that I find interesting arethat you can see how your server compares to othersin different areas, such as hard drive access performance, intensive CPU performance etc.NOTE:I am planning to add the use of "SPAWN" to the testat some point, so that we can see better the differenceof use with multi-core servers. Right now, the testdoesn't reveal much in this area, which could be asignificant aspect to "real-life" server performance.Thanks!Donovan-- Donovan D.
