One problem is that the name of the parameter doesn't really explain what it actually does. More seriously: the whole concept seems counterintuitive. It would have been much better if best match sorting was disabled by default whenever other sorting parameters are specified. Or perhaps it should be allowed as a manually set parameter (&bestmatchsort=1, &bestmatchsearch=2 etc.) But I suppose it's a bit too late to make such a change in the WebDNA language by now.
