Memory leak with text variables

texte = With the Webcat 3.0.2 plugin:I've just spent several hours with NetSplat and several versions of WebStar (including the latest beta) to find a memory leak that eats about 50mb of RAM on our web server within 20,000 html hits (and each page containing 15-20 text variables as described below). When Webstar reaches approximately 10mb of free memory, we generally get a Memory Error in the Status window or a crash with Error type 2 and must restart. Repeat every 24 hours, mix in frustration to taste...Specifically, let's say you've assigned a text variable like so:[TEXT]VAR=Hello[/TEXT]and then call it up on the same page like this several times:[VAR] this, [VAR] that, blah blahyou will see a memory leak (eventually). The leak does not occur when calling up the variable with [TEXT SHOW=T]VAR[/TEXT]. It also doesn't occur with [MATH] variables. Can someone at PCS please confirm this? Thanks,MichaelMichael Winston *By e-mail!: michaelw@dhorse.comSenior Web Developer *By web!: http://www.dhorse.com/Dark Horse Comics, Inc. *By fax!: 503/654/9440
