Putting & into a database

texte = I've built a set of pages to add, edit and delete records from a database. The add routine uses . The edit uses . All of the data goes in and out of the database OK except when there is a & in the data, such as Tom & Jerry's Bike Shop. Then the data gets truncated at the & and only shows up as Tom.Any suggestions would be appreciated. Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
