When you pass a value through a POST or GET, that variable is locked on the receiving page and cannot be changed..When you pass a variable to another page it is called formvariable, so it can only be changed in a form. [MATH][/MATH] and [TEXT][/TEXT] do not create formvariables so they can not change the variables passed in via a method equal to post or get. I would like to know if it's possible to; 1) lock a variable manually, 2) force the value of a locked variable to change. If you mean how do you change a formvariable and still remain on the same page you can send the form back to its original page, like this:--file=somepage.tpl-- [formvariables] [name] = [value]
[/formvariables]
The formvariable testvar can be changed inside a form using a type=text, while the action in the form returns you to the same page.
