Pretty basic stuff, add in the bugs that have gone unfixed for _years_ and then talk to me about a **Support Contract** I know a lot of people would have been glad to pay for *any* support from PCS. back in the dayYou are quite correct that 35k is nothing on sites earning millions, *BUT* that ain't the people on this list. It ain't the people who have supported Webcat all these years and lived with crappy support and some fat 'issues'. I will bet that most of us are very hard working folk and we're getting by and doing OK. We aren't ebay, and frankly when SM starts touting ebayware when the product they are selling is already too high, I just get a little hincky about that. SosumeApple just took a $60,000 product, added a bunch of features and now it's $699. In my mind it's price is rather irrelevant, it's still a 60,000 product but they have obviously decided that the (UNIX,SERVERS,ENTERPRISE,INTERNET) business is something they really want. PHP is free, Coldfusion is 1200 or $5k if you want enterprise clustering. (995 for linux) and the aforementioned webobjects is 699. IMO, it's bad enough that webcat costs what it does, We bought it at the very edge of our budget and I **love** it. But I also know if I'd learned ColdFusion or PHP there are people willing to pay *A LOT* for those skills. I have a real warm place in my heart for Andreas Pardeike! I could live without webcat way before I could get by without welcome, and it was $35 with free upgrades. So tell me again how webcat is worth $5+ grand?
