I get a bit irkedwhen I see attitudes that basically come down to if I can access it, it ispublic domain, and so I can just take it.The truth is that this is rarely legal, and almost never ethical and justbecause it is done quite often by 'developers' flying below the radar of thelegitimate authors doesn't make it right.Like other lists I am on when someone posts about things such as this, I amnever less than amazed at the amount of people that truly believe thatbroadcast or availability of your work automatically labels it under theumbrella of public domain. Not true... Not even close to true. Its a never ending battle and unfortunately it is up to each author tomonitor his own property and determine if the usage falls under agreeablelimits.Don't get me wrong, I am not suggesting that anyone here is purposefullysuggesting theft of services or condoning it. I just think that it happens alot more than most people know and ultimately the author ends up paying theprice.Again... Digressed but thought an explanation was in order.Nothing personal towards anyone or any geography.AlexAlex J McCombie New World MediaChief Information Officer Drawer 607800/724.8973 Fair Haven, NY 13064Alex@NewWorldMedia.com http://OurClients.comInterface Designer WebDNA Programmer Database Designer-------------------------------------------------------------This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .To unsubscribe, E-mail to: To switch to the DIGEST mode, E-mail to Web Archive of this list is at: http://search.smithmicro.com/
