At the end of the day, all the code is seen by the client broswer with the included .inc stuff as well. or just code WebDNA straight into the page.... the end result is the same for the client browser.I use Include alot. My web pages have only the design of the site and includes are used for the WebDNA and other HTML code that is global or repetitious in my pages... like Header and footer stuff. This way I only have to edit say the footer.inc page to change it on all my pages, as it is included on every page. Otherwise I have to make the same change on all the pages (Global find and replace withing editing app)... time consuming and you might miss a page or stuff it up if the search is not exact. If you want to choose what code to show on a page then you need to use Hideif/Showif statements (or IF/Then/Else) with conditions to hide or show certain WebDNA or HTML code.-- Regards, Marko ------------------------------------------------------------------ Marko Bernyk - Senior System Engineer mailto:marko@conexus.com.au  http://www.conexus.com.au Technical Services, Conexus Pty Ltd, Sydney, Australia Ph 02 9975 2799 Fax 02 9975 2799          :) ------------------------------------------------------------------On Friday, 14 February 2003 4:32 AM, Palle Bo Nielsen wrote: >Hi all, > >I was wondering if this is possible within WebDNA (just with some other >syntax) or if I have to use an external include file to accomplish the >following... > >I would like to have the include functionality build within the main >code... and not called through and external .inc file... > >PowerPalle > > >---- SNIP ---- >WebDNA code > DoSub CheckConvertionsDB >WebDNA code > > >WebDNA code > DoSub CheckConvertionsDB >WebDNA code > > > >(the below will not be executed unless called for >explicitly...) > >sub CheckConvertionsDB { >...some genric WebDNA code >} > >---- SNIP ---- > > > >------------------------------------------------------------- >This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to > the mailing list . >To unsubscribe, E-mail to: >To switch to the DIGEST mode, E-mail to >Web Archive of this list is at: http://webdna.smithmicro.com/ >------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
