texte = I want to FTP files to a specific folder on another server whenever I drop a new file into a certain folder on a MacOSX computer. I also need a couple of other features to go along with this:WebDNA is on OSX and my mail server is CGP on Linux. I need my sendmail files transferred directly from the OSX box to the Linux box via FTP so CGP can send them.My goal is to transfer these files automatically via FTP, so I would like a script that:1- Checks the OSX 'EmailFolder' for new files every second or two.2- FTP the new files in this folder to the CGP 'Submitted' folder on Linux.3- Move each OSX file out of the 'EmailFolder' and into a 'Success' or a 'Failure' folder depending upon the result of the attempted file transfer.4- Every 15 minutes or so, check for files in the 'Failure' folder and email me if there are any files in this folder. Is this the kind of thing that can be scripted easily on OSX? Does anyone know how to do this? Can anyone suggest an online resource for learning more about how to script tasks like these on OSX?Thanks. -- Sincerely, Kenneth Grome ------------------------------------------------------------- Outsource your WebDNA programming for $18 an hour or less! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
