This sentence made the lightbulb go on this morning and I changed this: [copyfile from=*/Library/WebServer/Documents/data store /shoppingcarts/1234cart&to=*/Library/WebServer/Documents/data store /cartStorage/1234cart] to this: [writefile file=*/Library/WebServer/Documents/data store /cartStorage/1234cart][include file=*/Library/WebServer/Documents/data store /shoppingcarts/1234cart][/writefile] which works, and I'm guardedly optimistic will serve as a replacement. This has got to be one of the stupidest workarounds ever for what should be a simple function. [writefile] works. [copyfile] barely works. [movefile] doesn't work at all. I'd still be interested in hearing why these are so seriously borked in this situation. Possibly because it's dealing with cart files? Would a cart file be in a state that would interfere with it being moved? I know I've got other sites that use [copyfile] to move static HTML templates into position that work reliably (at least I believe them to... maybe I need to revisit those as well).
