texte = I too have had this issue. After several hours of testing with the customer I realized that NIS was blocking out a selected group of words that it deems are related to unwanted advertising. The best example I can give you is the word "promotion". NIS will block anything using that word. So if the page is names promotion.tpl or promotion.html it will not show up. Further, if you have a form with field names called promotion ( i.e. ) that field, and in some cases the entire form will get stripped out of the page. Another example is if you have a link using the word promotion ( i.e. test ) that link will also get stripped out.Upon realizing this I started to change these words to something else. I tried "ppromotion", but NIS is too smart and would not let that through.Basically this brings be back to my college database classes where I was taught NEVER to use real word variable names to protect against possible use of reserved words. I have now adopted this same idea and now I use incorrectly spelt words as page names, form fields and links. I told the customer (since they are a registered NIS user) to try and find a list of words from Norton and I'll program around them, but they were not able to find such a published list.Hope this helps.Matt Perosiijo.comnj-singles.comRobert Schmidt wrote:> I received reports from customers and then verified through testing > that WebCat processed pages cannot be viewed by clients who have > installed Norton Internet Security on Windows clients.>> On WinXP Home with Norton Internet Security installed and only the > "Security" function enabled (the minimum setting - no firewall, > intrusion detection, ad blocking etc.) both IE and Netscape fail to > return the page.
