Imagemagick does a great job of making thumbnails. They usually look better than what I get from GUI programs on my desktop. User uploads a photo It's huge, 2048x1536 It might even have a weird filename Needs to be no wider than 437.... and rename it to match an enttry in the db Can Imagemagic (or maybe an .asp product) rename the image and resize it with no intervention on my part or the users part??? I was experimenting with this a while ago but Imagemagick choked when it came across a bad file name and I put it all aside. Not sure if the seamless end result is even possible. (I prefer not to force size and filename issues onto users prior to uploading an image.) Anyone doing something like this??? I'm using vers. 4.5 on IIS Server 2003 Lester __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
