Hi there This is a good Step by step instruction. On the performance issue= s I got a couple of more tweaks. We setup a lot of Oracle Databas= es and this has shown to increase performance a lot, but these ti= ps are not only related to Oracle. 1. Change the path of TMP and TEMP Directory to another location=20= then the default. 2. Name your network adapter 3. Best performance for Background Processes 4. Create a pagefile of the site 2.5 x Ram installed 5. Reduce visual effects 6. Don't use any Screen Savers ! 7. Check Services and Startups for unnecessary items 8. Since Windows Server 2003 is by default a File-Server change t= he Network-Performance to maximum. 9. If you can use a very fast HardDisk. This will give a performa= nce boost too.
