Separate SSL Server

texte = Since WebStar/SSL is a separate server, my original plan was to have the SSL on another Mac to distribute the load. Can WebCommerce handle serving regular database (unsecured) pages from one Mac (www.abc.com) to build a shopping cart, and then have the checkout pages only (secure) from another Mac (secure.abc.com)? Would you have to run WebCommerce on both Macs? If so, is that acceptable under the license agreement? This will determine how to apply for a Digital ID from a CA, since they require a fully qualified domain name. This brings up another question... can you use HomeDoor or something to multihome on a single Mac to have https://secure.abc.com and http://www.abc.com without the redirection messing up the SSL authentication. I would try it myself, but Verisign does not have a trial ID available for WebStar, so I can't even launch WebStar/SSL (it just quits).Thanks,Dan.
