Well, the fact that Adobe promotes it with Cold Fusion (according to you), and *if* GoLive messes with the code, it seems then to be at least some reason Adobe would keep it up. I've always been a Dreamweaver person myself. However, I'm all too familiar with the way company's can work... especially in the context of buying out a competitor. The press release that Paul posted does not really justify a better feeling for me about the life of Dreamweaver. Adobe has historically bundled quite a few things that have faded away. I hope they don't get rid of it. Though the two apps do things that crossover, they do both have different features. It may be that they find a good way to develop the two, but it also may be that they are quietly finding a way to phase out Dreamweaver. We'll see.
