[searchstring]
If you have 20 input fields from your orignal search form, [searchstring] will put that many (and perhaps 1 or 2 more) in as well. Note that in this situation the amount of HTML generated can be quite large if you have more than a few show next forms. Thus it's best to limit the number of shownext forms created with the max= option (see shownext in online docs).John. >Grant wrote: > >>Just to clarify a bit: [searchstring] is now meant to be used only within >>[ShowNext] as a means of building up search URLs that correctly find the next >>chunk of found items. >> >>If you want to display human-readable text, you can make use of the fact that >>WebCatalog lets you display any form variable: >> >>If you search is something like >>Results.tmpl$search?db=xx.db&woDescriptiondata=Hello >> >>Then in the results page you can use >> >>Your search for [woDescriptiondata] in the database [db] found [numFound] >>items. > >This is a simple case.
