texte = I recently upgraded from WebCat 2.xx to the latest Webcat 4.0.2rc1 a couple of weeks ago. It's been crashing WebStar (Type 2 error) several times a day since. Fortunately I work right next to the server, and also run PageSentry. (My immediate task was to get authorize.net in place, so only now am I ready to address this problem.)Along the way, I reinstalled WebCat, and I upgraded WebStar from 4.1 to 4.4. Still crashing. I give WebStar 190MB of RAM, and it only uses a fraction of that.My code throughout the site is fairly straightforward, and I haven't written any new codes that are new to ver 3 or 4. The only thing I am a little suspicious of are the Shownext links at the bottom of my pages... they caused problems with the first release of ver. 3, but were evidently ironed out early on (that's why I hung onto ver 2 for so long. Ironically, now that I've gotten authorize.net in place, there doesn't seem to be any reason to have upgraded... it was just the usual WebDNA.) I can't just disable my links and see if it works all day... my site is a picture database, and links for the thumbnails are essential.Any insight on where I might start looking? I can't tell which page or what activity causes the crash. The couple of crashes that 'felt' like they were my doing were not on the same page, or doing the same thing, and one of those was while in the WebCat admin pages. I used the debugger for a while, but I'm not sure what to look for. How is it any different from a WebStar log?I had so hoped retiring WebMerchant, or the WebCat reinstall, or the WebStar upgrade would fix this, but they have not, so I'm appealing to you guys to steer me.Terry terry@terryfic.com------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
