  27. [WebDNA] Crashing Database (World Wide Art 2011)
We would prefer not provide local docs: one single operation can update = anything in the docs, while local docs are sometimes stuck for years = with outdated informations. Also, the entire new distribution is about = 1.9MB, while the old one was 46MB. We tried to lower the WebDNA RAM and = disk footprint as much as possible. - chris On Jan 27, 2011, at 4:45, Dan Strong wrote: > I don't know, but WebDNA always came with it's own local docs, so I = don't see why 7 wouldn't... that said, this is one of those "official = questions" that is best left to Chris. One downside I can see to local = docs is that they wouldn't get updated in the case of errors or updates, = and because of that, I personally prefer online docs. > -Dan >=20 > From: Kenneth Grome > Sent: Wednesday, January 26, 2011 10:30 PM > To: talk@webdna.us > Subject: Re: [WebDNA] Crashing Database >=20 > Will=20 > there be a local copy available so we don't have to be online to use = them? >=20 > Sincerely, > Kenneth=20 > Grome >=20 > >=20 > [thisport] is a new feature of 7.0.
