As soon as you set up a server, that is all you end up doing (often to the detriment of development). The best advice in this thread so far is: let someone else do your hosting. I was given the same advice from some of the same people, and they are very right. Server problems become very close personal problems. Your customers' sites depend on your server, and your server depends on you. It sounds like a great idea... and it would be if you had someone else to manage the server while you develop, or vice-versa. But a single person trying to balance development, marketing, and server administration is a great recipe for severe health problems, outright failure, or both. I can say from experience that Zarcrom provides wonderful service. I have had php hosting through GoDaddy for years, and Zarcrom's speed, performance, and uptime are second to none. I think Ken Grome hosts, as do several others on the distro. Anyway, glad to hear that your problems are fixed... But, if you take anything away from this, take this: If you don't want to be a server admin, don't set up a hosting server.
