texte = I agree completely with Bill. A search feature *really* needs to be added to the online docs. Some contexts/commands/syntax's just aren't where you'd think they should be or you forget where they are and you have to dig around at times. A simple search would fix this problem. Each page of the online docs could be stored in a database instead of just plain html, making the search feature complete. The added notes feature could be searchable as well, and since that is databased already it would be even easier to set up. Yes, SMSI, please remove the frames! The online PHP manual is chock full of user contributed notes, from everything from installation tips to tips on each function. I like the pulldown menu/search feature that they offer there. Their mailing list archives are also searchable right there. Excellent idea Bill on combing the archives for snippets. It's been a while since I added a snippet to the the interactive doc's, but I'm going to make it a point that if I have to search the archives for an answer, once I do find that answer the snippet will go into the online doc's for others use.
