We have a mac os x server and an os x server running webstar. Both a prone to bogging down with minimal traffic and crashing for no reason(al least no apparent reason). We have 2 options, upgrade some of our equipment, which would be a good thing, or go PC. PC would allow us to pick up a new machine for 500 and put linux/apache/mysql/php/webdna on it with only the cost of my time to put it all on. MAC, we'd spend about twice the price and then have to by os x server or configure regular os x to behave like a server.thats it in a nutshell. Its really a money thing. On May 19, 2004, at 2:44 PM, Paul Willis wrote:>> We currently run mac in-house, and I think its about time that we got >> some PC action going as well.>> Why?
