My personal goal is to use netinfo to add users in _1_ place (my powerbook) and have them automagically distributed to everywhere.I believe OSX will get faster (pure faith and speculation)But all things being equal, I would imagine Linux or FreeBSD would be faster than OSX. They are more refined, and have less stuff going on in the background. So, if raw speed is you're only goal, it might also make sence to look at the open/free darwin disributions.(If you really wanted to waste some time on a test, I would love to see how darwin benchmarks on PC hardware.) but I must admit I am truly lustful of a 'real' 1 or 2 RU server to run OSX (please MacWorld!! please, please, please) -- Aaron Lynch System Administrator NineWire Digital Solutions || http://ninewire.com He who laughs last, didn't get it. ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
