Norton is not just blocking pops, it is blocking banners, text links, some navigation, even occasional site logos. Also it is not just blocking - it actually strips the source code right out of the page. In most cases even if a webmaster tries to help a customer view the page by turning off ad blocking and refreshing the page - it still will not load properly. http://www.webproworld.com/viewtopic.php?t=12663&start=0 If you are a Symantec Affiliate, your ads are not blocked. This is just wrong and I urge you to inform your customers of this and advise them against using any of their products. There are a few class actions in the works that claim copyright infridgement and censorship but more people need to be informed. The end user does not know that the site isn't supposed to look like crap, they just assume that the website was built that way. On WinXP Home with Norton Internet Security installed and only the "Security" function enabled (the minimum setting - no firewall, intrusion detection, ad blocking etc.) both IE and Netscape fail to return the page. The Netscape page is blank and IE displays the "the page cannot be displayed" page as noted by kalin. Refreshing doesn't change anything. I have plain html pages that serve fine and if I turn off WebCat processing, .tpl pages will display the raw DNA code in the browser window as expected. It seems that something in the WebCat processing of pages is causing NIS to filter them out. I note that Phil mentioned Norton problems in his response to kalin - any more info there? My server runs Win2000 Server, IIS5, WebCat 3 and has functioned well for four years. I have set up test pages at http://www.constructs.com/test.html http://www.constructs.com/test.tpl - only contains [Time] tag I'm looking for a solution ASAP.
