Like anyone thinks you would do something so fair...I've been reading this thread with a little interest over time, and thought I would chime in... I am not sure that any regional type of setup would work. After all, most of my business originates on the internet. I get very little business locally. To the topic at hand... Personally, I have no problem with SM providing the same services as the people who buy the software do. They could have kept the software as an in-house product. If they would have done that, how many of us would be where we are today? I have not seen a comparable product on the market, that is as easy to use as WebCat, that is also available for my platform of choice (Macintosh). But also, with SM using the software in real-world tests all the time, they would be more inclined to keep the software progressing, and make sure that quality is as high as possible. After all, if they decide that they need another feature added to the software, in order to do something specific for one of their own sites, we can all benefit. And, if they run sites on the software just as we do, then they are most likely to discover bugs on their own, instead of having to rely on another developer's vague description of the problem. Now, if they were hosting websites and using a different catalog software, that would cause my eyebrows to go up...Dennis ------------------------------------------------------------- Brought to you by CommuniGate Pro - The Buzz Word Compliant Messaging Server.
