texte = I bought webcatalog last year (around June). I was told it would be EASY to install, no morethan a weekend. I wasn't even told that the UNIX version was BETA and found out months later. After months of waiting (and looking for a webhosting company that webcatalog could work with),I finally found one, and it aint cheap. They couldn't install the UNIX version so I asked forthe NT version even though it wasn't what I wanted. Finally I heard the UNIX version was nolonger in Beta so I switched over. (I have been getting temporary serial numbers since Ibought the darn thing) I still owe some money and was supposed to pay that balance as soon as Iwent online and started making money. This has not happened, obviously. Now I have been talking to a tech that doesn't really seem to know what's what. My ISP hasbeen trying to get webcat running with no luck. The software engineer hasn't (or won't) talkto my ISP to resolve the problem. I have been waiting too long and nothing has been resolved. The problem with webcat is that it says I created the database and all the templates but whenit says enter database there is an error reading no home.tpl found. Sam's suggestion is tore-install it. It sounds like a simple answer but so far no luck. I tried earnestly and bentover backwards to cater to webcat's needs such as seeking redhat 6 webhosting, Unix server, even to the point of starting my database from scratch using the delimited database(well, Iwould do this if webcat allowed me to create a functioning database). Sometime last year, months after I bought webcat I was told that if I wanted the complete store done for me itwould be $2000. Its great for a company that is making money, but it doesn't work for someonethat is trying to start a business and the costs are high enough as it is. I was told beforebuying webcat that its easy to use and work with but so far I have yet to see it. Now that youknow basically what the story is, what can you suggest I do? BTW, I don't know who you are butI am assuming you work for Mirco Smith and could most probably help me out somehow.Kenneth Grome wrote:> >Ok, I've waited for almost a year to get my WebCatalog online.
