I am happy for you that you had good luck with tech support on your MAC version of webcat. Who did you speak with? Maybe the MAC person is more knowledgeable? Unfortunately the MAC person may not be as knowledgeable in the UNIX version though. Lucky you! More power to you.I kept the email sent to me by PCS and they also verbally told me it was BETA, but not until AFTER I bought it and AFTER a months of purchase. If you told me you worked for SM, yes that would make you somebody(for my purposes), but if you told me you worked for SM and could help me(and followed through) instead of offering me only cosmetic solutions to my problem that are not real solutions, then I think you would be somebody helpful and greatly appreciated.I want to go with what I want, yes, I want UNIX of webcat that installs easily as I was promised, but since I cannot get what I want is a refund. How do I get it? If it doesn't work for me, why not assist me in getting my money back? I gave it a valiant effort. I don't want a shopping cart that I can only go through ONLY the creators of the software for webhosting and it seems that's what I have at this point. Before buying it I was told I could install it on any UNIX server.Unless you go through what I am going through you can't understand what I am going through. You call it whining, but I call it last ditch effort in asking for assistance. You are defending someone because you have a camaraderie with that person, obviously so no matter how valid the content of my email is, your bias will be based on that camaraderie. I don't know who to contact for help since SM took over PCS so I am airing it here hoping that the right people come out and email me with offering to help but so far it hasn't happened and all I have received was backlash from people that don't care and are just being malicious.Parker wrote:> Heh.. wow. ;) > > M.B. wrote: > > [snip] > > > does have redhat 6 software, but like I said the SM people are not very knowledgeable or just not plain helpful in helping getting it installed properly. > > Hrm.. interesting.
