During this process, add a process whereby you distill a second database that will be used for your live seller bragging rights calculations. Basically, this second database will be two fields wide, Agent, and Total. At 15,000 agents, this should be a pretty responsive query. Do all the time consumptive searches and calculations just once, when the second db is generated. Logically, since you are only updating a static database once per day, you should only have to do the complex stuff once per day. The sales numbers aren't really live, as the whole database is not really live. This is a blessing more than a curse, so to speak. You don't have to show real-time stats on a live database. That would be much more work. This static, once per day database should make this one aspect of your job easier. If you have other complex searches come up in the project, use the same logical approach. Break complexities out into relational data once per day, then let WebDNA speed through simpler queries as needed.Mike If you've ever wondered why searching the archives for relevant keywords in the Subject of messages is generally frustrating, take note of the subject of this thread.
