It should be remembered that Chris stepped in with the $ when it was needed... so no one can or should have the final say except him. However, the question was of requesting feedback.. and though it may not be the feedback Chris was looking for.. it is what is on the minds of the users. My comments right now are about one simple aspect... an easy globals solution. Ken, have you forgotten about hardware/OS compatibility and contemporary performance? People want their apps to be contemporary, portable and safe through to the road ahead. There are all sorts of libraries required with contemporary development.. to API's and what-have-you. Sites on old OS's just simply run into compatibility, security, policy, and other problems. With the termed "old" model being deprecated, people need a path the future... especially our Windows brethren whom are desperately in need of support. You should know this. ;-) My solution provides much of that in a relatively EASY step... and should I be hired again, Chris should know that I will push for this "easy" solution! Also, didn't you just agree with me earlier Ken? ;-) Here is what I see.. I see all the loyal long-timers (and even some $ investors), along with myself (who spawned this whole revival thingy), wanting a globals solution. I also see much merit in a globals solution to new users. This stuff should say something to the powers that be.
