There are a couple ways to do this:1) Make customers log on with some kind of authentication page (maybe even export your customer database to Users.db so you will have a populated user database). After they've logged on, the browser automatically sends [username]/[password] info with each hit, which you can use to perform a search into your customer database to find all the other stored info you have about them. You don't necessarily have to force them to log on, either -- look at what happens when you purchase from www.anythingpc.com to see another variation2) Another place to store stuff like this is in the extra cart header fields (header1-40) that are designed for holding extra stuff such as this. The first time a cart is assigned, you can ask them this info and then use [SetHeader] to stuff that into the cart file. Then all you need is the cart# to get at the info later.Technical Support | ==== eCommerce and Beyond ==== Pacific Coast Software | WebCatalog, WebMerchant, 11770 Bernardo Plaza Court | SiteEdit Pro, PhotoMaster, San Diego, CA 92128 | Typhoon 619/675-1106 Fax: 619/675-0372 | http://www.smithmicro.com/ Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
