texte = Well folks,The chat looks like it was just okay, but it seems as though you can do a far better job with a new mailing list. Not only do people have time to think through their comments in a mailing list forum, but they can discuss issues for days or weeks until everyone (or at least until the moderator) is ready to end the thread. And you would you get many more participants because of the elimination of specific time periods for participation -- which would presumably make it a whole lot more valuable to those who are running the chat.I read through the chat transcript and even the 'reformatted' version was hard to follow. Some questions were never answered, several threads were mixed together, and it was cut off after a period of time even though some issues had not yet been addressed. All of these problems can easily be eliminated on an email talk list (if the moderator wishes to do so of course). The fact is, many of us simply do not have the time to show up at the precise times that the leaders chose to run the chat. That's why chat is popular with people who use it for fun and mailing lists are more useful for those who have work to do.The idea of having a new forum to discuss the issues mentioned on the chat it very good! If the implementation were done in a different forum, I think the result would be even better ... :) Sincerely, Kenneth Grome--------------------------------------------------- WebDNA Professional Training and Development Center 175 J.
