Unlimited add-on serial number can be purchased for $1000, bringing your entire upgrade to $1495. You are still unlimited and have everything the 5.0 upgrade brings, including sandboxes, etc. I did not make this clear enough in my message. The $2995 upgrade price to Enterprise is an option if you can use the benefits it presents.Enterprise Edition includes Intranet as well as CMS, WSDL, etc. $2995 is an outstanding price for Enterprise Edition.Keeping my comments short- hope that's ok!Doug-----Original Message----- From: Alain Russell [mailto:alain.russell@blackpepper.co.nz] Sent: Tuesday, February 25, 2003 2:26 PM To: WebDNA Talk Subject: Re: 5.0 Pricing Doug, A few comments .. I paid less than that for my unlimited connection version of WebDNA when I bought a brand new license. I have a real problem with being pushed into a new product because the one I own now is only going to work with one 'website' after I upgrade. We host ALL the sites we have developed as we are one of 2 WebDNA hosting companies in NZ we have no choice here.> Each of your customers can have their own work group content management > system. Each customer can have their own Intranet.I think you are confusing your product offering here, how much would the 5 Enterprise engine cost with no Intranet templates, Content Management or Commerce templates. As a seasoned developer we have solutions for most of these and don't really want to pay for these.> We now > have a more competitive product offering that accommodates small/medium > business more than ever.Is this something you should focus on while isolating 90% of the current customer base by offering them 1 upgrade path no matter how much they have spent already.Don't get me wrong, I am a huge fan of WebDNA, and we will eventually be going along the v5 upgrade route, just thought I should express my opinion.Alain ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
