Those developers talk to a lot of companies, and many companies rely on them for direction.Bravo. I moved to WC because of FileMaker's bone-headed moves in this department. If you want to see what stupid moves on the part of a developer can do to a product, visit the virtual ghost-towns that used to be vital and active lists supporting the once-vibrant FM-web community. Everyone's packed up their toys and moved on.Personally, I bought WebCat even though it cost me more than FM's new pricing -- which was one of the major sore points. The thing is, the time invested in the tool is worth more than the tool. Also, FileMaker Inc. was virtually absent from the lists I was on, and they also chose to ignore requests for features and fixes. You won't be hearing much about FM Inc anymore. At least not until they go belly-up from all of the dedicated belly-achers like myself ranting on about them to anyone who'll listen. That'll be the end of it. Before 2001.Smith Micro, are you listening? The Affiliate Program seems either naive or condescending or both. I can't decide. The lack of presence on this list is appalling. What exactly is the message you're trying to get out to the user community? The messages I'm getting are:1. We've forgotten you.2. We don't really need you, but we're happy to take your money while we get where we want to be, which happens to be a place that ultimately won't include you once you become the tiniest bit inconvenient...Well? Tell me I'm off-base. Cripes, I'm on dozens of lists. Frankly, the morale is higher on the mTropolis survivors list (an amazing tool that Quark killed *2 years ago*) and the MetaCreations lists where the software is in complete limbo.
