First,I appreciate your tone and support. I can relate to everything yousaid over my years of working with WebDNA to make a living... thecomplaints about the (non-standard) architecture (mostly from hard-corelinux people) ;-), the increasedcompatibility problems, and yes, even the beginnings of moving toPHP when product support was on the down slope. I don'tsee one thing you stated here that we are not hard at work on... includingthe MySQL fixes. But, as Chris stated, we are working with thebudget and resources that we have, and that we are slowly but consistentlygaining. For the other comments; in this game, priorities are sometimes madefor you.. and it is nice when we get to make them. With our budgetright now, you can expect us to work on the core issues... compatibilityand bugs, along with a good marketing campaign mostly.Does that mean we don't listen to ideas? no. We welcome ideas (especiallyideas with a good tone) ;-), but I thinkevery programmer knows that "ideas" are the easy part. SoI ask you guys/gals to have patience in that area... good and robustchanges will come. (I hope that helps clarify the priorities thatI saw some remarks about)Just a reminder.. Christophe and myself have yet to take payment of anykind in this venture. This is because we want to see WebDNA becomea success and are committed to doing so... and we have absolute faiththat it will. I just state this reminder because I think there maybe a couple people who don't understand that reviving WebDNA is asacrifice that some of us are making. We do this becausewe know that, even with WebDNA's problems, there is this greatunderlying language and tool that is a real value in our field.I am reminded of this every time I go to implement a new featureor function for my, or my clients WebSite's. There is no denyingcertain joys and benefits of the WebDNA language. These other things, the compatibility, better crash diognostics etc.. are all fixable. Theintellectual property however, remains what it is... a very valid andsignificant tool. That's all! Have a good weekend!DonovanP.S., for those that want to help,.. buy a license or three!
