First, I appreciate your tone and support. I can relate to everything you said over my years of working with WebDNA to make a living... the complaints about the (non-standard) architecture (mostly from hard-core linux people) ;-), the increased compatibility problems, and yes, even the beginnings of moving to PHP when product support was on the down slope. I don't see one thing you stated here that we are not hard at work on... including the MySQL fixes. But, as Chris stated, we are working with the budget and resources that we have, and that we are slowly but consistently gaining. For the other comments; in this game, priorities are sometimes made for you.. and it is nice when we get to make them. With our budget right now, you can expect us to work on the core issues... compatibility and bugs, along with a good marketing campaign mostly. Does that mean we don't listen to ideas? no. We welcome ideas (especially ideas with a good tone) ;-), but I think every programmer knows that "ideas" are the easy part. So I ask you guys/gals to have patience in that area... good and robust changes will come. (I hope that helps clarify the priorities that I saw some remarks about) Just a reminder.. Christophe and myself have yet to take payment of any kind in this venture. This is because we want to see WebDNA become a success and are committed to doing so... and we have absolute faith that it will. I just state this reminder because I think there may be a couple people who don't understand that reviving WebDNA is a sacrifice that some of us are making. We do this because we know that, even with WebDNA's problems, there is this great underlying language and tool that is a real value in our field. I am reminded of this every time I go to implement a new feature or function for my, or my clients WebSite's. There is no denying certain joys and benefits of the WebDNA language. These other things, the compatibility, better crash diognostics etc.. are all fixable. The intellectual property however, remains what it is... a very valid and significant tool. That's all! Have a good weekend! Donovan P.S., for those that want to help,.. buy a license or three! (every little bit helps with the speed in which we can improve this tool) -- Donovan D.
