A "very interesting" development has already occurred here that would (it seems to me) help thrust WebDNA into the limelight, with a little help from us of course: There's a guy who built a JavaScript-based web server add-on for Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3002 Think about it. This guy has turned the Firefox browser into a HTTP server ... and when I emailed him asking if he has plans to extend its capabilities to run CGI programs he replied: "It already does!" This is a very elegant POTENTIAL solution to introducing WebDNA to the masses since the framework app (Firefox) is popular, free, and run on all OS's.
