PHP is not *that* powerful. We need to write server and applications management GUI, wiki, Bulletin Board Message Systems or forums, auction systems, form processing, rewriting CMS, news posting etc... I would say this kind of application are very attractive to newcomers. But should we make WSC allocate time on such programming or should an experienced WebDNA coder or group of coders start working on it? as i already wrote several times on this list, we are ready to generously compensate such a work. About classes at University, WebDNA is the perfect candidate for a student or a group a students for their "year student work". It would be an original work, instead of repeating every year the same litanies about php or java... :-) A design university would even be better, as designers are extremely receptive about the sequentiality of WebDNA that perfectly integrates html. Finally, making hosting providers widely accept WebDNA will depends on the demand they get from their customers. It's a catch-22 that a cgi/ fastcgi version would solve, the hosting provider being ousted out of the equation. We, at WSC, think about all this everyday. We are not numerous enough (yet) to be able to start fighting on all fronts. This is why we thought we would get support from you, loyal users: we need to sell more licenses, get investors and trade, while most of you are waiting before jumping in. We need this now, not later.... chris Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
